Cleanova introduces Cleanova.C-CLEAN
Cleanova is pleased to announce the launch of Cleanova.C-CLEAN, a groundbreaking approach to the development of dedicated filtration solutions for Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS) applications.
CCUS is a cornerstone in the global strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. It encompasses a range of innovative technologies designed to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from various sources so the gas can be used either in other applications or permanently stored to prevent it from entering the atmosphere. Both outcomes require CO2 that is free from solid and liquid contamination, so deploying the correct filtration technology is vital.
Chris Nixon, Cleanova’s Engineering and Products Director, explains: “Filtration technology plays a pivotal role at every stage in the carbon capture process, from the arrival of the feed gas, through chemical absorption to final storage and transportation. Each filtration solution needs to be tailored to specific conditions such as CO2 concentration, the nature of the emission source, the presence of other contaminants, temperature, and pressure. This means that CCUS operators and system designers need to work collaboratively with filtration experts from the outset to achieve optimal results. Cleanova.C-CLEAN enables co-development of customised carbon capture solutions using advanced filtration products that are appropriate for CCUS applications.”
Customer benefits include tailored filtration that delivers outstanding operational performance and efficiency and is correctly sized, which can save space and contribute to a lower overall carbon footprint by using fewer resources. This in turn helps reduce capital investment and operational costs to deliver long-term savings and shorter return on investment.
Cleanova CCUS filters are engineered for maximum efficiency, resulting in significant waste reduction and extended equipment lifespan. This innovative product line features UNIQ-MAX High Capacity Filters, designed to prevent absorber plugging by removing high quantities of suspended particles from feed gases; Liquid/Gas Coalescers to ensure solvent purity; Activated Carbon Filters to eliminate hydrocarbons and contaminants, and; Oil Mist Eliminators to ensure clean exhaust air in line with stringent environmental standards.
Concludes Chris Nixon: “Cleanova.C-CLEAN supports our overarching mission to enable clean environments through innovative filtration solutions. Our radical new approach makes it easier for CCUS customers to access the expert advice, ongoing support and appropriate filtration technologies they need to achieve their decarbonisation ambitions.”
