L&J Technologies expands solutions portfolio with strategic acquisitions
L&J Technologies, in partnership with its parent company Cognesense, announces the acquisition of Sonitus Systems and Hidden Brain Technology. These acquisitions strengthen the company's capacity to provide innovative and effective solutions for environmental measurement, monitoring, and control. This strategic expansion ensures access to advanced technologies designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Cognesense proudly welcomes Sonitus Systems, a leading provider of environmental noise, air quality, and vibration monitoring solutions that protect public health, and all assets and IP from Hidden Brain, a developer of a powerful open IoT platform integrating sensors to cloud-based user applications. These acquisitions, in conjunction with L&J Technologies, mark a major step in Cognesense’s journey to consolidate and lead the highly fragmented Environmental, Health, and Safety end-markets.
By combining Sonitus Systems' expertise and Hidden Brain’s innovative technology with L&J’s trusted products, these acquisitions deliver direct customer benefits, including:
- Expanded Product Availability: Access to a broader range of solutions for air quality, noise, and vibration sensing.
- New Applications: Enhanced capabilities for real-time monitoring and actionable insights tailored to your operational needs.
- Combined Technologies: Seamlessly integrated measurement, monitoring, and control tools designed to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sonitus Systems to the Cognesense team,” said Paul Dhillon, CEO of Cognesense. “Their innovative approach to environmental monitoring aligns seamlessly with our vision of fostering a healthier future and protecting our shared environment and public health through advanced, sustainable solutions. This partnership also provides L&J’s customers and sales representatives with expanded, synergistic product and service offerings.”
“I am excited to collaborate with L&J Technologies and Cognesense in driving Sonitus Systems to new heights,” said Paul McDonald, Managing Director of Sonitus Systems. “Together, we will leverage cutting-edge technologies, enhance our offerings, and deliver even greater value to our loyal customer base. I am also deeply grateful to my team and the visionaries who laid the foundation for our success.”
Additionally, the acquisition of Hidden Brain significantly enhances the platform's technology footprint by enabling the rapid integration of legacy sensors into a unified IoT ecosystem. This common cloud platform, augmented with AI capabilities, transforms raw data into actionable business insights, delivering greater value to customers.
Cognesense remains dedicated to its core values of excellence, sustainability, and social responsibility. With these acquisitions, the platform takes another significant step toward delivering transformative solutions that align with our vision of creating a smarter, safer, and more sustainable world.
